The high school’s college-level Virtual Enterprises International class attended the Virtual Enterprises International Business and Entrepreneurship Leadership Conference, held at LIU Post on Oct. 19. The annual conference, attended by more than 90 teams, enables VEI students to network with and hear from industry experts and successful entrepreneurs in business, fashion, branding and entrepreneurship.
Student Jake Boden placed in the top 12 for the elevator pitch competition where he sparked interest in the class’ company Coffee Cubed, which provides a rechargeable custom thermos that heats content to any temperature in two minutes or less. Coffee cubes are placed in the thermos tray and dissolve into the water, making a perfect cup of coffee. The cubes are perishable and do not cause pollution like K-cups.
